Life On The Grid

I wanted to blow through this one again after Max Payne 3 to see the Rockstar of just a few years previous.  Also, this has always been my Favourite Grand Theft Auto so I like to replay it now and then.  Many people don’t like this entry because of the “more realistic” physics both in movement and especially in the vehicles but personally, I quite like them.  I feel it gives more weight to the handling of weapons and vehicles.  You need to think more when doing both, especially when driving at speed.  I also always loved this iteration of Liberty City as it feels like it is packed to the brim with places, people and things.  A lot of other 3D Grand Theft Auto games feel quite empty outside of their main areas and missions.  But it feels like something is going on in every piece of this city and there is so much packed into every inch.  The soundtrack is also absolutely banging with my favourite stations being Liberty Rock Radio and Radio Broker.  Every tune brings back good memories of simpler times.  All in all, this game is just as good to play now as it was in 2008 and is a stone-cold classic.
