Mini Review: Fallout: New Vegas – Honest Hearts DLC

Entering Zion National Park in Utah

This will be a very short review because I didn’t feel there was a great deal to say about Honest Hearts and also, it was quite short.  In this instalment, you are sent to the Zion National park in Utah to resolve a dispute in there between some native American tribes  one of which wants peace and one of which does not.  Once again, this DLC features huge amounts of walking but at least this time, it’s through the nice scenery of Zion National Park.

Stalking through National Park’s lovely scenery

This DLC features the charismatic main character of “The Burned Man”.  Who was a former Lieutenant of Caesar, the leader of the Legion faction from the main New Vegas storyline but he was cast out for failure at Hoover Dam and other characters who want to help the natives of the area resolve their conflicts by either fight or flight.  Most of the missions revolve around fetch quests finding things for the burned man and clearing out the violent native tribe to give the peaceful one more of a chance.  Frankly, the story was fairly uninteresting, felt quite unrelated to the main storyline and did not draw me in to care about either side.

Summary

This DLC was quite short without doing the side quests and overall it felt like it had a fairly inconsequential story and ending.  I wouldn’t recommend this one unless you are a hardcore Fallout fan.

Final Score: 1/5
